柴可夫斯基的三大芭蕾舞劇《胡桃鉗》、《天鵝湖》與《睡美人》都收錄其中，兩張一套加上鍍金版，價格確實令人倒抽一口氣。該Soria系列的原版CD張張具有不可思議的氣氛，低頻量感豐富且充滿LP味，使用越高級的系統就越能享受大提琴部暗地翻滾而來的低頻拉奏，和空間中殘響回蕩的感覺，那不是一支支樂曲傳來的，而是一整片充滿于聆聽室中。
關于《皇家芭蕾》中《睡美人》的起源，可以追溯到100多年前，俄羅斯芭蕾舞全盛時期的馬林基劇院，正在醞釀上演一部豪華盛大的芭蕾舞，當時的劇院院長選擇了人人皆知的法國神話《睡美人》，并委托作曲家柴可夫斯基共同撰寫了這部芭蕾舞的腳本。為了表現出100年代的感覺，柴可夫斯基將17世紀的宮廷芭蕾舞和18世紀的歌劇共30首曲子組編成一部組曲，設計就是由當代一流的馬里斯普提培負責，就這樣一個3小時的大型芭蕾舞便于1890年1月作第一次公演。
