柴可夫斯基的三大芭蕾舞劇《胡桃鉗》、《天鵝湖》與《睡美人》都收錄其中，兩張一套加上鍍金版，價(jià)格確實(shí)令人倒抽一口氣。該Soria系列的原版CD張張具有不可思議的氣氛，低頻量感豐富且充滿LP味，使用越高級(jí)的系統(tǒng)就越能享受大提琴部暗地翻滾而來(lái)的低頻拉奏，和空間中殘響回蕩的感覺，那不是一支支樂曲傳來(lái)的，而是一整片充滿于聆聽室中。
關(guān)于《皇家芭蕾》中《睡美人》的起源，可以追溯到100多年前，俄羅斯芭蕾舞全盛時(shí)期的馬林基劇院，正在醞釀上演一部豪華盛大的芭蕾舞，當(dāng)時(shí)的劇院院長(zhǎng)選擇了人人皆知的法國(guó)神話《睡美人》，并委托作曲家柴可夫斯基共同撰寫了這部芭蕾舞的腳本。為了表現(xiàn)出100年代的感覺，柴可夫斯基將17世紀(jì)的宮廷芭蕾舞和18世紀(jì)的歌劇共30首曲子組編成一部組曲，設(shè)計(jì)就是由當(dāng)代一流的馬里斯普提培負(fù)責(zé)，就這樣一個(gè)3小時(shí)的大型芭蕾舞便于1890年1月作第一次公演。
